Arizona is on a roll, 3 of its cities recently made the top 10 list of cities to work in with Scottsdale coming in at #1. The American Legislative Exchange Council recently released a report and Arizona came in the #1 spot for quality of education and schools.
A report card on American education exposed the effects of antiquated, big government influence on education policy, and how students in each state are hindered by it. Each state was given a number ranking and a letter grade. Keep in mind that in 2016, no state scored higher than a B+.
Well, this year Arizona was ranked #1 and received a B+ grade. According to the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), Arizona spent $7,461 per student and only 13.3% of funding came from the Federal Government.
As I’ve said over and over, Arizona is one of the best, if not the best, states to live in. The weather is amazing, it’s located to a variety of outdoor activities, has some of the lowest costs of living, booming tech businesses are relocating here. Spring Baseball training, you get the idea.
This is a really good thing for those thinking of relocating here with families and concerned about how good the schools are. Now only if we can maintain this ranking year after year and we’ll be golden. You can see the methodology used here that came up with the report.
